“I’ve had the pleasure of working for Proteus, Inc. since 1978, and I’ve seen it change and evolve many times over. The one constant has been the clarity of purpose and sense of mission that every employee has committed to heart.”

Established in 1967, Proteus, Inc. is a registered 501(c) (3) non-profit community based organization that operates community, employment, and training programs. Comprised of six (6) divisions that include Education, Farmworker, Youth, Adult, Energy, and Foster Family Agency, Proteus currently administers over 40 different programs throughout Fresno, Kings, Kern, Tulare, and Northeastern Los Angeles (Lancaster) counties.

Our “Mission” is to provide education, job training, job placement, and other support services to farm working families and other program participants.

Our “Vision” is to improve the quality of life of farmworkers and other participants by being the premier provider of services.

At Proteus we “Value” the ability to empower our customers to achieve self-sufficiency by providing quality services and training; to serve all customers with integrity and respect, as this is the foundation of our excellence; to promote continuous improvement on a daily basis; to focus on teamwork as it directly relates to the success of our corporation; and to create a solid community partnership.
